The South African Social Security Agency serves as a light of hope for people suffering financial crises. “UIF Registered SASSA declined” Reason and Solution
SASSA advises SRD grants to applicants to appeal if their applications are declined due to the UIF registration. Therefore, the applicants are trying to link the SASSA platform with the UIF registration, and their applications are declined. Some claim that they are unable to get a grant, and the status of their application is “UIF registered SASSA declined.”
According to the SASSA and UIF, you can only have either of these, “SASSA grant” or the “UIF benefits”. Either cancel UIF or don’t apply for SASSA grant.
How To Fix Decline Status?
Once you have canceled UIF. You need to reapply within 30 days after the declined application status. The SASSA will verify your documents, investigate your current financial status, and consider your appeal if you fall under the eligibility criteria.
You need to follow the steps I have mentioned below in order to reapply for a grant.
- Step 1: Go to the official website link, https://srd.sassa.gov.za/
- Step 2: Once the page is visible, enter your ID number.
- Step 3: Enter the registered telephone number.
- Step 4: You need to follow the prompts after logging in to reapply for a SASSA grant.
- Step 5: You need to sign the declaration and consent to confirm the validity of the information. Your data will be shared with other financial institutes, and if they find something fishy, they can take action against you.
- Step 6: Submit the documents and then your application.
When you submit the application, you will receive a confirmation email or an SMS that the application has been received. The department will share your information with the UIF to confirm your employment status. If the department finds that you are registered in the UIF financial assistance program and receive a grant monthly, your application will be declined again because you do not meet the criteria.
The SASSA grant is given to people who do not receive other financial assistance. If the department finds that you are unemployed and do not receive UIF benefits, it will resume your application.
